Wondering what the role looks like? Here’s a typical shift for a mobile locksmith with us:
Receive jobs via dispatch (domestic, commercial, or emergency).
Travel to client location (local routing reduces dead miles).
Assess the lock/security issue and explain options to the customer.
Carry out the job — whether it’s a lockout, lock repair, multiple lock changes or installation.
Record notes and photos of the work completed.
Collect payment or confirm job completion.
Update dispatch and receive your next call.
We provide full induction to make sure you’re confident before taking on jobs.
This covers:
Company processes and safety checks
Paperwork and record-keeping
Customer communication and service standards
Upskilling modules, including:
uPVC multipoint mechanisms
Mortice fitting
Euro cylinders / TS007 standards
Panic hardware and commercial systems
To work with us, you’ll need:
Valid UK driving licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
Basic locksmith tools and equipment (preferred; guidance provided)
Willingness to undergo a DBS check
Access to trade suppliers and recommended parts
Support with compliance (DBS, insurance guidance, PPE)
Dispatch and admin support so you can focus on jobs
Our main focus is London, but now we are looking for a locksmith ready to cover South West London and the surrounding areas, including:

(We also cover other areas of London depending on demand.)
We want long-term partnerships with locksmiths who want to grow. Your journey can look like this:
Trainee → Locksmith → Senior Locksmith / Area Lead → Trainer / Mentor

Not required. We provide induction and development for motivated individuals.
How are percentage splits set?
They vary by experience, whether you provide your own tools/van, and shift coverage (day vs nights/weekends).
When do payments happen?
Weekly, with clear job statements provided.
How many jobs per week can I expect?
Typically 10–15 on standard availability, more if covering out-of-hours work.
Do I need my own tools?
Preferred, but we can guide you on what’s essential.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, as a self-employed contractor, you’ll need public liability insurance. We can advise on providers.
What’s the interview/onboarding process?
